POOGERS is a collection of 36 Boom compatible (cl9) maps brought to you by the Doom twitch community. POOGERS is the newest, most spectacular innovation in audio/visual enchantment. This wad features astonishingly realistic high-definition 4D engines, bringing what you see around you every day into a hyper-realistic cyber-universe. The wad's soundtrack is a masterful manipulation of vibrations, intricately designed to elicit the most pure and joyful of emotions. 

 

There are meme mapsets, there are era-defining works of art, and then there is POOGERS, bridging the gap between both.

(This wad is intended for Boom-compatible engines [complevel 9])

Photosensitivity warning: The hyper-realistic 4D engines sometimes flicker and strobe at a higher rate than normal. If you are prone to photosensitivy issues, be warned.

Note: Poogers.wad will not function correctly on ZDoom-based ports such as GZDoom.

Final Final release (hotfix):

- Fixed various cosmetic issues with MAP29 and properly applied friction to scrollers in two secret/easter egg areas

- Properly attributed credit for Hoogers and HonkaGIGA textures in MAP22 to stackcat_

- Add mention of MAP29 savegame corruption with Woof! in the text file that somehow got eaten up between edits

- MAP24 co-op modifications

- MAP29 visual enhancements

 

Final release:
- Significant changes have been made to all existing maps, all future maps, and the fabric of your 'reality' itself
- MAP36 added

RC3.11 (For Workgroups):

- MAP20 - Added two lost souls

- MAP29 - Several more fixes including being able to properly build in Platform Panic and a couple of regressions introduced in RC3/RC3.1, and a gameplay tweak somewhere

- MAP31 - 1st fight changed to 1 fight instead of 4 separate ones, 1st secret fight now has the same amount of Revs as RC2.. Kept the green armor. Yellow fight has been changed in the 2nd secret area and cheese removed. Added about 400 anti Cheese viles to the final fight also added some megas so the intended strat to kill the viles should be consistent

 

RC3.1:

- MAP29 - Fixed guaranteed softlock introduced after RC2 in a secret that only happens for UV, also tweaked a global "parameter" that should prevent voodoos from linedef skipping and potentially getting stuck, causing any kind of softlock

 

RC3:
- Minor HUD face fixes

- MAP11 - Powerup shop has been remodeled, removed blue key cheese, "fixed" some HOMs, and by fix, we mean "added more"

- MAP14 - MIDI has been changed

- MAP19 - Many minor fixes, including HOM fixes, texture fixes, and an issue with an inaccessible blue key

- MAP20 - Fixed an issue with the voodoo crusher closets and added a cosmetic easter egg

- MAP24 - Added co-op support, increased the speed of the lift in NoMo, but most importantly, added exactly one (1) Box of Rockets to the first fight

- MAP28 - Fixed a pain sector that was not marked as a pain sector

- MAP29 - Sector merge optimizations for increased performance on low-end systems and several fixes, including final ending now accessible without god mode and Platform Panic has proper voodoo behavior for HMP/UV

- MAP31 - Added co-op support, small nerf to secret fight 1 (UV), buff to both secret fights on HMP, as well as secret exit linedef (31 -> 32)

- MAP32 - Minor fixes to texturing, patched a sequence break, and simplified the final hallway

- MAP33 - Fixed untaggable secret

 

 

RC2:

- MAP29 has emerged

- DEHACKED lump includes level name (sans 33-35) and intermission text

- Maps 08, 09, 10, 18, 21, and 22 now have co-op player starts

- Maps 33, 34, and 35 are now accessible through normal progression

- MAP05 "dark room" and fight tweaked

- MAP10 water is now a pain sector everywhere where it wasn't before

- MAP11 recompiled in ZDBSP uncompressed nodes to fix software renderer issues

- MAP13 texture fixes/changes

- MAP20's progression is telegraphed to the player better

- MAP24 recompiled in ZDBSP uncompressed nodes to allows PrB+ compatibility and adjustments to monster counts and removal of dev secret

- Minor face sprite fix

- Various story text tweaks
