BedrockCastle Posted February 27, 2022 (edited) Upon upgrading my Crispy Doom to 5.11.1 from 5.10.1, pressing the quicksave button no longer causes a confirmation popup saying "Quicksave over your game named '[savename]?' Press Y or N." I've checked crispy-doom-setup.exe and the Crispness menu, and I can't find an option to re-enable it. How would I go about fixing this? 0 Share this post Link to post

Shepardus Posted February 28, 2022 If you want a confirmation before saving, just use the regular save dialog (F2) instead of quicksave. It takes one extra tap of the Enter key, but just think of that as double-checking if you really want to save (the load game dialog looks similar but takes one Enter press). 1 Share this post Link to post

Very good suggestion, and it actually shows the rationale for this change: Now, quicksave is actually quick and saves two key presses compared to regular save - whereas the old quicksave would require the unavoidable 'Y' key press. 0 Share this post Link to post
