Drywtler Posted April 15, 2022 I can't remember when this started to happen but it's awful to watch and I don't know how to fix it. Is there a command or a setting I haven't checked yet? I'm playing on GZDoom v4.7.1 with Render Mode set to Hardware Accelerate on Vulkan, OpenGL did the same thing. 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted April 15, 2022 You have to post your map, the screenshot doesn't tell much. The only guess I can make is that for some reason your map does not use horizons at its outer edges. 0 Share this post Link to post
Drywtler Posted April 15, 2022 The screenshot it's from the map TOWNCITY from Reelism 2 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted April 15, 2022 In that case: What's your graphics hardware, operating system and graphics settings? 0 Share this post Link to post
Drywtler Posted April 15, 2022 (edited) I'm using a laptop, an Asus X541NA-GO012T to be exact Intel(R) HD Graphics 505 Windows 10 Home Single Language 21H2 The only things I am able to configure in their Graphics Panel are Antialiasing (MSAA or CMAA) and Anisotropy Filtering. Apart from screen brightness, gamma and stuff, that's all... If it's of any use, I've made a google drive folder with a dxdiag text file, my gzdoom ini file, and a screenshot of that graphics panel window i'm talking about Edited April 16, 2022 by Drywtler : fixed the url 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted April 16, 2022 Have you tried switching between OpenGL and Vulkan? I think your GPU should be capable of handling Vulkan. 0 Share this post Link to post

I believe they have already tried that (see OP) @Drywtler What about trying OpenGL ES. Intel's iGPUs tend to be behind Nvidia/AMD when it comes to supporting modern APIs. Also I may be wrong as I have not played the mod, but judging from the screenshot, the only issue I am seeing is the black walls/barriers in the distance. I would also suggest to try different sector lighting modes. That screenshot looks to me that the lighting mode is set to "build", which in all honesty sucks. 0 Share this post Link to post

This a normal looking sky right? You notice that little square at the top, that's how it looks on OpenGL ES OpenGL/Vulkan on the other hand makes the sky look like this (the little square at the top has a triangle inside). Other maps have the same problem Spoiler I hoped it was only a mod issue, but no, it does it on doom too. Spoiler It's not always visible though More examples Spoiler In conclusion, my gpu sucks lol 0 Share this post Link to post
