Wait, does DSDA-Doom "Software Renderer" fix the sheering and disappearing from the other software renders? Not gonna lie, the map isn't the same without the catwalk shearing and disappearing every few steps.

Not gonna take away from a meticulously well-done, almost hour long run.

curious what is that? I remember seeing you got lighten up or whatnot in your video, but this seems not a thing in gosu's video.

Hmm, I hope I'm not derailing too much.

@GarrettChan My current setup is Prboom-Plus 2.5.1.3: 1600x1024px; windowed mode; 16:10 aspect ratio. I think I'm on min gamma in my 2.5.1.3 copy, but for gifs, I do have a separate 2.5.1.5 Prboom-Plus sitting around with -viddump set up to make .mkv files.

I think "sector wiggle" is the phenomenon I was talking about (and I'm not sure how far back it goes. If it's just a Prboom 2.5.1.3 thing, then that's funny.)

I just messed around in Map39 with DSDA-Doom too, and it still gets a bit funky due to the extreme nature of the map, but I don't have it configured to the same video settings as my 2.5.1.3 anyways. And maybe Gosu's playthrough was in GL mode either way, all the power to 'em.
