Multiple new demos I recorded yesterday and today. Yesterday, I recorded max demos for two random maps from the archive.

Today, prompted by Tatsurd's latest demo, I recorded max demos for the first six levels of Elegy. The .ZIP also includes some old demos I recorded for it back in early 2008 (in elgy-old.zip.)

Nice Elegy runs, guys. Short and simple maps encourage tight recordings. For a moment I thought el01-047 was a desynching demo, but... :p

Lucky ending there. Not only did the arch-viles not retaliate, but you also got the Romero head in one shot, which means the SSG certainly inflicted more than average damage.

Uh... shit. Apparently, I neglected to quit from my last failed attempt before trying again. Now I feel like I need to record it all over again...

Uh, not really. :P When I shoot it at the end, his health only goes down to 65 (-trace_thingshealth 420 in PrBoom+.) I just wanted to end that run with me shooting one of those Romero heads, whether or not it killed them.

Haha, right, actually, I played the level just before and ended it by killing a Romero head, and lost track of the fact that there's an exit between them...

Yeah, it makes me think Owens threw those heads in as a joke. ;)

Anyway, I just replaced my Elegy MAP01 demo with a demo that isn't spoiled by a failed run. As a bonus, it's about 20 tics faster than the original.

Here's a demo I meant to do two years ago. I'd done a preliminary recording and intended to improve it. Well, today I remembered about this.

Two glides. One of them is optional though (and it's probably quicker and easier without it), so you could consider this a "Trickaholic" demo. :)
