Baron Door: Trilogy of megawads! Now on ID GANES!!

Limit removing Doom 2 format, no jump/crouch - freelook optional - designed for pistol starts but can be played continuous if you can't handle it. Multi player starts -- mostly only supports UV but some maps do have more settings, try ITYTD for an easier time

Yup, it all started when @sandwedge played that epic elevator map which spun off a random ID games search I did. That video and more in the links/ description above video.

 

So what happens when @Biodegradable brings up the discussion of barons opening doors? Well somehow this became it's own thing when @sandwedge made this thread:

 

Me and @knifeworld made some examples and I started compiling the maps together and all hell broke loose! We went back and spruced them up and made so many maps we quickly needed not a second, but a THIRD was as well!

Baron Door: The most prestigious Door - each map is designed to be UV maxed and not go absurdly off the rails - a small effort of quality control here. Do note that @MAN_WITH_GUN made 14 and it's so epic and cool it doesn't seem to run in some limit removing ports like crispy

What an experience!

 

I can't thank everyone enough - playing doom with guest commentary has been a blast and unexpectedly lead to this. Thanks @Biodegradable & @sandwedge for turing this into a fun care free community project.

 

It got so big so fast, I was unable to keep track of what as maps flooded in so unfortunately do not have a music list or difficulty settings

 

I learned a lot putting this together. thanks @Chookum for doing the title patches in Bonus door which showed me how to do the rest. @Pistoolkip added cool intermission messages. @Matacrat for the credit screens. @HALFCOOL made the amazing menu graphics - check those out! @Dannarchy made the final door end game screen. @Valhen made a silent midi for @Zulk RS map. @sandwedge for being a champ and pre-testing all these maps!! @Dub Bag custom archvile noises in bonus and final door. And everyone else for their maps and contributions - what a blast this has been!
