how do you use .ogg/.flac music in eduke32?

Recommended Posts

i've scoured google's (increasingly irrelevant and bot-ridden) search results to no avail. i'm trying to play with the roland sc-55 music pack, and won't settle for any less for my first playthrough

Literally googling the very question you pose leads to this and this.

1. where would i write the commands in the first link, user.con?

2. my eduke32 folder doesn't have a user.con file

3. where do i store the music files?

Edited by Kilo : embarrassed about that accusation of rudeness. that was due to anxiety mismedication so id actually like this post outright removed

  1. I wasn't rude, i literally copied your question into Google and listed the hits.
  2. Open user.con and search for .mid, as outlined in the second post of the second link.
  3. See here for GOG and Steam locations where user.con is. No GOG/Steam? Use Kextract located on Duke 3D CD to get user.con from Duke3D.GRP, or use Loom's GRP Viewer or GRP Studio.
  4. I bet similarily to Shadow Warrior as outlined in the FAQ. Example: c:\eduke32\music\.
