I don’t understand how you can type this and not immediately delete the post.

You generally can't run multiple mods simultaneously and expect them to work correctly. You certainly can't claim to have encountered a bug in either Doom or any of your mods unless you can reproduce it with no mods or a single mod respectively.

the thing is it's not like major mods it's literally just smooth weapons and wide status bar I have never encountered that at all in all the wads I've played this is the first time I've seen an enemy go completely invisible

I think he picked up the invisibility sphere.  This is not a bug it's a feature.

Has anyone ever seen this bug happen in DOOM before I replayed the map and the chaingunner was visible again I was using GZDOOM when the bug occurred and a few mods

It doesn't seem to be a Doom bug here. It's something specific to GZDoom's renderer (some bug or driver related issue somehow skipping the sprite if you're using a hardware renderer) or the mods you are using.

i would say just don't use GZDoom just use Zandronum, its way better for a port, i used to use it but I couldn't record demos and so i switched to PRBoom-plus because its actually really good despite that it can only run .wad 's and not .pk3 's

It really looks like a problem with your mods, not necessarily GZDoom itself

The thing is, because Zandro is based on an ancient build of GZDoom, it lacks a lot of modern features, ZScript mods won't work, neither will MBF21 wads. It's a good port all by itself, but it's really outdated compared to mainstream GZDoom, for that I'd rather recommend LZDoom unless you're into multiplayer. Even for demos I'd also recommend either Dsda-Doom or Woof!, because they support MBF21, DEHEXTRA and DSDHacked

I mean, if it fixed itself and you couldn't reproduce it, it's definitely a weird one-off glitch. They happen sometimes, could be literally anything (maybe you haven't rebooted the PC in awhile, for example).

It's when you can reliably reproduce it again and again that it becomes more than just random chance.

Honestly, I think it may be the wad along with the mods I was using it's an older wad  I've had some issues with older wads glitching up before in the past not to mention I had another glitch happen while playing the wad where another enemy fell out of the map and had a similar effect to that chaingunner the only difference was I couldn't kill the enemy

Can you post which wad was it? And what mods you were using? That'd help

Edit: Also the render you were using, hardware or software and which (Either OpenGL, Vulkan, etc.)

I use OpenGL and have it set to hardware accelerated also using GZdoom 4.8.1
