I didn't want to be the guy that said it, but since we've started, Scream 4 was my favorite kill from the franchise. Because I thought it killed the franchise. And I can only vaguely recall watching Scream 3, never watched 4.

 

The only thing I really remember about the Scream franchise, aside from kids talking about how scary it was (it wasn't) was that Jerry Only of the Misfits was upset because Wes Craven didn't use Scream! as a song in Scream 2:

 

 

Not that it's a bad song, and the video was directed by George Romero. But that's the only halfway decent thing that's come out of the Scream franchise.

I'm not much of one for slasher movies these days but i did see 2 to 4. But i couldn't remember a thing about any of them save randy being killed, whoever the hell Jerry O'Connell was getting killed in... 3? And i think the killer in one of them was the mother of one of the killers in the first movie. I think that was 3. But 4? Not a thing comes to mind. Not if my life depended on it. If ghostface caught me and asked my favourite kill from that movie I'd be fucked.

It's ironic that some follow-up producers often state, "they care", but when you watch the final product you realize they only care about the money...

Scream 4 already was a miserable excuse for a movie - I really don't want to know what the reboots do to fully run it into the ground.

Most mainstream slasher films can't measure up well enough in terms of gore to be memorable for their kills IMO.
