Xymph Posted September 1, 2022 Aloha! (It's been a warm, dry summer here.) Last month, two important milestones were reached on The Doom Wiki. Revenant added UDMF support to Omgifol (at last), so scripted generation of map images for large(r) UDMF and mixed-format projects became possible. Previously I had postponed doing the map views because that just isn't practical via SLADE's manual GUI steps. So now map images were added for: Adventures of Square (29)The Edge of Time (30)Confinement 256 (60)DUMP Episode 2: Dump Harder (67)DUMP Episode 3: BFG Edition (80)RAMP (200)Strange Aeons (45)Nerves of Steel (18)Splatterhouse 3D (18)Project Einherjar (35)Midgard Outlaw (15)Operation Body Count (9)Operation Sea Wolf (8)Ashes: Afterglow (21) and the deathmatch spawn images for SpaceDM9. Secondly, secretive specialist Getsu Fune/NMM caught up on all pending maps needing secret descriptions (except a few newly added PWADs, which will undoubtedly follow in the next few days). That was another big batch. Congrats! What else? Gauss walkthroughs? Check (the remainder of Plutonia 1024, Sillouhettes of Phobos, and part of Simplicity). All sorts of small improvements by various busy-bodies? Check. New articles? Dynamo Posted September 1, 2022 Excellent work all around! So glad to finally see UDMF support after so long. Another nice milestone was that the Lost Levels for Doom 64 now have full walkthroughs, as well. :) 3 Share this post Link to post

If the SNES article uses the PC image, it means the hash of the PNGs were identical when the image was generated. Many (I dare say most) of the maps in SNES Doom in fact change absolutely nothing about the architecture. 1 Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted September 13, 2022 The old Sewerside map is missing from Adventure of Square (accessible with 'map OLDSEWER'), it should probably be covered for archival sake, and since its still in the game and perfectly playable, albeit without music. 0 Share this post Link to post

Just to verify, is @Jimmy also the author of the old version? EDIT: Confirmed. Edited September 13, 2022 by Dynamo 0 Share this post Link to post
