Well first off don't take too much stress about it, especially if you're not involved in any community project.

Maybe it's just your inner self wanting to take a break. Take your time and enjoy Doom as it is. Try out other people's wads for inspiration.

Myself I usually might come up with an idea of a gaming theme for a .wad or TC. For example, I might wanna do something like Wolfenstein, so I gather resources for the project and start making the puzzle. Sometimes you make a picture and well, sometimes the last pieces are missing.

Any form of art can take a lot of time to come together, mentally and materially. You can't force artistic motivation upon yourself, let the inspiration come naturally and you'll find yourself wanting to get to work again. Think of the process as mindworld, and hands.

Headspacetime, and skill. The painting comes together when you're not staring at the canvas.

Don't get stressed about it, there's nothing you can do when a creative block hits you in the face. There are methods to keep your mind in motion but forcing it usually doesn't work out very well. Just take it easy.  Relax, do something else, look up some YT videos for inspiration, that kind of stuff.

Just watching tutorial videos and slowly learning new skills tend to get my juices flowing at times, just to try out whatever that guy is doing. And if I'm stuck at a certain point in my map I usually just leave it alone for a few days (or weeks) and do something else that *does* inspire me (different map, playing other games and looking at the level structure or just taking a walk outside and look at the buildings, etc).
