Can't Get Brutal Wolfenstein To Work

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody, I've recently installed the latest version of Brutal Wolfenstein and it crashes upon launch. The error message it displays is "Script error, "ZMC-BW5.8.pk3:actors/maps/mapprops.txt" line 2906:
Expected ')', got ','.".

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Which sourceport do you use and is it up to date?

I use Zandronum, and it's entirely up to date.

Try with latest GZDOOM. Zandronum is no longer supported, really.

Yeah, but how do you set up GZDoom? I could never really figure it out.

Download the file and unzip it where you want. Also copy IWAD in that directory just like with Zandronum.

Thats 100% wrong but okay. lmao. It just uses older software because it has a different aim than GZD which is mainly online Multiplayer support, which is something that GZD does NOT have.

Literally just install it and use the drag and drop method first. You can also download ZDL which acts like Doomseeker for loading wads.

Oh, my bad. I just read somewhere that it's not favoured or upgraded.

How do you open up mods with GZDoom, I've only managed to run Doom 2 by itself with GZDoom.

It recently just had an update not terribly long ago. The difference is that Zadronum falls into the category of "if its not broke, dont fix it." Its main core is something like GZD1.9 or 2.5. That was the last time GZD was compatible with the easy online software rather than the direct TC/IP method it currently has to use.

You can just drag the mod file, .wad or .pk3 to gzdoom.exe and it should start up to iwad selection.
