what's the best doom map name you've heard? (it dosn't have to be an id map, just as long as there is a map and not somthing you've made up)

'HECK' gave me a giggle when i first got to it (Final doom).

Sorry, trying to pick out my favorite "map name" isn't gonna happen, so here I go with the list. :) It's just a few names that come to mind, mostly because they sound cool, not because of any symbolic meaning:

Doom1 e4m2 - Perfect Hatred
Doom2 map20 - Gotcha! (meh, the dual boss fight gave it meaning)
MM 09 - Hightech Grave
MM2 28 - Corporate Hell
AV 28 - Whispering Shadows

Back in the day on Virtual Arcade BBS, there was this wad some guy make called " Yak World" and that wad was a ball buster...! It have funny everything, I wish I could still find a copy some where.

I can think of the following interesting or amusing names at the moment:

I like the Phobos and Deimos Anomaly/Lab pairs. Probably the coolest sounding/meaning names in the original DOOM.

Then there's TNT Evilutions' Level 12, Crater. The name plays with both the actual crater area outside as well as the rooms full of crates inside.

Another map with a cool name is Gothic DM's Level 30, Beyond Good and Evil, which is referenceing a book's title (the title itself is awesome for a DM map, but if you know the author of the book it gets even better.) I had using this name in mind for a DM map, but then I noticed Anthony Czerwonka had thought of it first.

I'd also like to mention Alien Vendetta's Level 31, Killer Colours. The name is quite fitting with the theme, plus it sounds great due to the K/C alliteration.

There's probably more, but I forget. Otherwise many of the maps out there have fitting (e.g. doom-like) names but aren't really exceptional...

Any level name from the Ultimate Doom and Hexen. Heretic and Doom 2 names sucked IMO. Except for The Living End.
