Amaster Posted February 22, 2003 Im just curious about how the "down to lowest plus sector texture" trigger works. If I have a bunch of different textures on the sector in question, which one does DooM refer to? 0 Share this post Link to post
Fletcher` Posted February 22, 2003 I'm not quite sure, but I think it's the sector with the lowest sector number. Try and see. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted February 22, 2003 The floor drops to the lowest floor and copies the sector flat and damage properties. But for some reason, this special only works properly if the sector being lowered is not touching more than 1 other sector. If it is touching 2 or more, the floor will not change and you'll get the PlayerInSpecialSector crash. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted February 22, 2003 No no no. I dont mean the "donut" sector thing. In wad author there is a line type that will lower a sector to the lowest floor plus the height of the "sector texture". I've used it and the sector only dropped a few units. The floor was at -160, the sector was at 0, and the texture on it was 128 units tall. WA already has a different option for donut sectors. I have to admit, I'd never heard of this line type. Is it some sort of error? 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted February 22, 2003 I'm not talking about the donut special - I'm talking about Floor: W1: down to lowest floor + sector texture 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted February 22, 2003 Oh. Well then what's the donut sector thing? 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted February 22, 2003 The donut is the feature in the chaingun room in E2M2 - where the sludge comes up to the floor and adopts it's properties, and the island in the middle comes down to meet it. 0 Share this post Link to post
