Havok Posted March 24, 2023 The wad downloads on Doomworld all say "redacted" where the email address of the map creator would be in the text file that comes with each wad. The emails used to be shown but they aren't anymore. So how do you contact a wad creator if you can't see their email address? 0 Share this post Link to post
ImproversGaming Posted March 24, 2023 My recommendations are: Check different sources idgames & download and the text file downloaded with the WAD (sometimes they have different info) DoomWiki entries for WAD and Author Social media - there are loads of creators that are still active on YouTube, Twitch etc. Look for a forum discussion on DoomWorld for the WAD, they are often announced on the forum or have discussion threads Just post on the forum, the community is close so someone always knows someone or knows their handle Is there a specific example you are trying to reach or is this just a general query? ImproversGaming Posted March 24, 2023 Just that I was looking for an author contact in the past and found that the same WAD on https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/ and https://www.doomworld.com/files/ had slightly different info and one had the email contact and the other didn't. Also I found their twitch channel from the https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Entryway entry for the WAD that had an associated bio.
