Amaster Posted March 11, 2003 Unfortunately, if it's a 2 sided linedef, it will take on the sector references of whatever sector it has been pasted into. So you'll just have to change the references anyway. I just discovered this today while doing some 3D constructs. Luckily, I was able to just split the lines and merge the vertices here and there to get what I needed. 0 Share this post Link to post
stphrz Posted March 11, 2003 I have never had any problems with Wadauthor totally screwing up my map except when I try to do one thing. That thing is clearing the 2-sided flag of 2 sided linedefs. You might be tempted to do this if you want to turn a platform into a column or something. If you are a Wadauthor user don't do this. The results may be painful. Best to just delete the sector in question and redo it as a column. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted March 11, 2003 I never have trouble with that. After changing the sidedefs to one-sided, altering the textures and flagging them impassable, run the error checker and fix the 'bad back side sector' bugs - this changes the back references to -1 and it works fine. 0 Share this post Link to post
