NIGHTFALL (GZDoom)

Recommended Posts

I'm getting those Quake vibes from these screenshot. Nicely crafted! I'mma try it out :)

------------------ EDIT ------------------

Very enjoyable map :D good use of 3d floors. Varied monster encounters making for entertaining combat. Also I really liked the Archvile encounter because of the unique encounter the shifting 3d floors facilitated. A breath of fresh air for a classic doom experience! Also the custom sounds and atmospheric music felt appropriate and of great quality.

An arbitrary 9/10!

Detractors (Personal preference):

The ladders can be a bit annoying and I would have loved to see some more contrast in light and shadows.

Edited by Wo0p : Update!

I am fan of the skybox you used here :)

The map itself is really enjoyable, the ladders though, as Wo0p said, can be hard to catch.

Nice one :p

Really really neat map! This was fun and I liked the GZdoom mechanics. I ended up exiting pretty abruptly though because I didn't think that was going to be the exit so soon.

Thanks for the video, buddy! It's a pity that the mod breaks the mechanics of the map a little.

Neat Map!
Which music track is the one used in the map?
I want to give proper credits when I upload mine.
Edit:
Excellent Map!
Rather Short, but the style and combat are neat!
5/5

Hellrider and meatgrinder monsters works well with your maps. I noticed in Riclo500 vid that rocket launcher trap didn't work.

Thanks, man! This is a free track from his YouTube channel. It's called "Nightcrawler".

Great video, thanks! And you're absolutely right about the rocket launcher trap not working. Also, dormant monsters and teleports without gravity do not work. Well, that's what I quickly noticed.

UPD: It seems that you are the first one who found the secret, and who used the balcony to shoot cacodemons :)
