Launcher toolkit

Recommended Posts

Just want to inform that I extracted all network functions used in IDE, to the separate package (DLL and source), so if you are programmer and want to write some sort of server browser/launcher, but don't know how to communicate with servers - this package can help you. All you need to do is to write proper GUI to these functions;) All current client-server ports are supported (csdoom, zdaemon, skulltag)

Nice opportunity, but would be hard to beat IDE.
It's just perfect ;)

Bond, have you ever thought to add some IRC functionality
to IDE? Maybe in a split screen?

Anyway, nice you released the source. We need more of this !

Also nice to know there are people out there who know the
difference between "useful" and "pathetic". USELESS is the
program that doesn't even have the BALLZ to make it's sourcecode
available out of fear that some poor bastard coder out there
will see a copy/pasted form of his own labor's !!!

Bond:
Cool you made it after all :) And im insterested in Skulltag masterserver queries, those still have to be done. You will ofcourse be credited for it (that is, if you dont mind :P )

The Experience:
I know you're mad because you've been banned from DC for hacking attempts, but I refuse to argue with you again because all you do is just throwing with bullshit like that above to give DC a bad name. [end of discussion]

Not necessary to make new full-scale launcher, but use it in many other close-to-doom program. For example, make little prog to check periodically only one (favorite) server and notify user if any (or some special) players wait there..

Yes, I thought about this, but couldn't find proper soft yet

Hey, what a great idea ! Yes, that would be useful: Some kind
of application which monitors a single or a few servers.

Concerning IRC functionality ... I may have some interesting software
for you, just let me search my harddrive for the links. I hope
they are still somewhere. AFAIK that was some nice open source stuff ;)
