Guilty Pleasure wads

Not sure if this is the right area to post this so if not then I'm sorry.

Anyways, I've been experimenting with different wads and mods and there are a few that I have tried that other players on here had said were absolute shit but I actually loved. For example, a lot of people consider Simpsons Doom to be totally stupid but I find myself going back to it a lot just for the sheer stupidity of it because simply, I think its a funny ass mod. So my fellow doomers, what wads or mods would you consider your guilty pleasure, regardless of community opinion? (Gods please don't say hdoom lol)

Really any speed mapping project. I often prefer the bite-sized simplicity of them over much larger, more polished maps. Of course, that isn't to say speed maps can't be very impressive in their own right. But i can't help but feel a bit guilty for choosing to play something that was made in an hour or less over something that has had months or even years poured into it.

Size doesn't dictate quality. I can't believe I'm using that in terms of Doom lol.

No Doom wad or mod is highbrow enough that there's a category of "lowbrow, but enjoyable" wads that stand in real contrast to the "genuinely good stuff." Jokey speedmaps and "old school throwbacks" vs. finely wrought Sunlusts, Sunders, Struggles, etc., approaches that kind of distinction, but it's not the huge gulf between, say, trashy journalistic "current affairs" books and Ulysses.

 

Doom itself is a guilty pleasure because I'm a grown man and I should be spending my minimal free time, to the extent that I spend it on "consumption" at all, on reading good novels or watching good movies. But even this way of thinking is a narrow-minded failure of imagination.

Ideology I can easily get behind. Unless you're doing something highly illegal or immoral, there isn't guilt to be found in anything that's pleasure to you.

I really enjoy playing Hell Revealed and EARLY Hell Revealed ll maps. Objectively they are not the best but I find the chunky empty rooms with hoards of monsters to be pretty relaxing when I'm having a stressed day.
