mewse Posted April 10, 2003 The latest issue of Wired magazine has an article covering Doom 3, and a website named Ownt has taken it upon themselves to provide a summary of the article's key points. This makes for interesting reading, but what I'm most interested in are the new rumours about a multiplayer add-on coming out post release. When HomeLanFed posted an item on this Wired article, they mentioned an "already announced multiplayer add-on", which I haven't seen announced at all. 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted April 10, 2003 Hmm, very interesting. Hope we can all see that new Quakecon video. 0 Share this post Link to post
Adam Hegyi Posted April 10, 2003 Wired makes note of the rumors floating that Doom 3 could be Carmacks last "major" work. Sounds like BS to me. 0 Share this post Link to post
Jonathan Posted April 10, 2003 Doom 3 will spawn spin-offs: a mission pack with more single player features, a multiplayer expansion, add-on, possibly a program to dynamically render unique new levels on the flyMaybe this why we haven't seen any new Slige releases for a while... 0 Share this post Link to post

I guess what that means is he'll hand over the 'lead' stuff to someone else whilst he goes flying rockets or something :) 0 Share this post Link to post
