Deep Space VI | A SPACE STATION HORROR | Boom Format (Complvl 9)

pretty good but the hallway that leads to the blue key and then the exit is a bit cramped and as a result both the pain elemental and the archvile seem to struggle navigating it especially when the latter starts resurrecting enemies and the location gets too crowded

 

also the arachnotrons at least seem unable to go through the door from that hallway to the main area

nice design, good progression and above average detailing

fights are bit unimaginative, very easy and unexciting mostly

You like injecting a basic twist or two, don't you? Just when I was starting to look at enemies teleporting behind as a cliche, you stopped doing it. Maybe it could be done more effectively next time!

 

That said, it's always nice to see people obviously having a good group on the basics of map making branching out to make some casual SLADE replacements. I dare anyone to claim Descent into Cerberon is bad. :)

Really fun map, I was a little tight on ammo at the end! :-)

 

Cool theme, would make a good 5-10 map WAD.

Yeah theres is a few problems with that hallway :/ 

Also, the monster you missed was an arachnatron. the teleport didn't work properly. but thats okay :)

Glad you liked the look of it :) 

 

Wasn't meant to be anything all that groundbreaking. Was just testing out some stuff through dummy sectors :) 

 

The missing monster was an Arachnatron. didn't teleport in properly. Sorry about that.

Just trying to broaden my horizons in the ways of mapping haha. hopefully I can put them to use in the future :) 

 

Quake 2 soundtrack is kickass! hahah :P

I was thinking if doing something with the idea in the future. Might make a miniwad or something. Depens if I can get good maps out of my brain :P

Played this map the other day! A fun and short tech base is always a welcome sight :P

Very nice color palette and great music choice!

Nothing too groundbreaking just a little bit of self training :) might do a larger version in the future using some horror textures. Not sure yet 🤔

 

Everyone needs a little bit of quake 2 every now and the. Haha :P

 

the colour palette is from the cryo colours pack :)

 

 

awesome run! The only one I’ve seen so far that doesn’t have the arachnotron not spawn in.
