CyRaptor Posted April 24, 2003 Here's all I can think of. I don't know all of the dates, sorry. PC Doom (December 10, 1993) Ultimate Doom (1995) Doom II (October 10, 1994) Doom II Master Levels Final Doom (1995) Playstation Doom Final Doom Nintendo 64 Doom 64 (1997) Game Boy Advance Doom (2001) Doom II (2002) And then versions of the original Doom on Super NES, Sega 32X, 3D0, Atari Jaguar, and Sega Saturn. 0 Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted April 24, 2003 Here's a list of all the Doom engine games : Doom (Ultimate Doom, Doom II, the Master Levels, Final Doom) Heretic (Heretic : Shadow of the Serpent Riders) Hexen (Hexen, Hexen : Death Kings of the Dark Citidel) Strife Chex Quest (Chex Quest 1, 2 and 3) Hacx (requires Doom 2) The Page of Doom is also a great resource 0 Share this post Link to post
Ultraviolet Posted April 24, 2003 Chex Quest had a fun factor of approximately -2.55197. I wish I had spent all that time masturbating instead. Note the Hacx sprite rip. (Or was it the other way around?) 0 Share this post Link to post

DooMBoy Posted April 26, 2003 Pah, I was able to have about a 3 on a fun factor of 1 to 10 with Chex Quest. I always thought it was funny how they said they had the technology from id's most famous game, or words to that effect, yet they never went right out and said Doom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ultraviolet Posted April 26, 2003 Pff, what do you mean "Had the technology?" It used the Doom.EXE EXACTLY, unpatched. The frame sequences were all the same and so on. They didn't just use the Doom engine, they used the frickin' Doom.EXE. Oh, sure, if you got the CD version from the box of cerial you got some program that launched prologue and epilogue movies, but that was the only diff. 0 Share this post Link to post
Epyo Posted April 26, 2003 IIRC, the green slimy guys couldn't shoot in the boxed CD version. So nyeh! 0 Share this post Link to post
Little Faith Posted April 26, 2003 The monster sounds of Chex Quest owned. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ultraviolet Posted April 27, 2003 Epyo: Could that be because those were the sprite replacement for the demon? 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted April 30, 2003 Heh, Chex Quest could've been made better by some of our own peeps, but it was still funnish. Not worth paying anything for though. 0 Share this post Link to post
