if you feel like it you could just edit the intermission screen to remove any mention of it and have it replaced with a gravity well or a tractor beam

yeah ID didn't bother to put any mention of it inside the text screens or even visually. I just thought it would have been a cool visual lol. It was certainly not NEEDED or anything cause like u said even id didnt bother lol.

WOAH I LOVE the blood ocean idea that's awesome! (And makes sense with Map20's sunken skyscrapers.) also love the city in the smoke in the distance, very eerie.

I'll be adding boom-format support (including Sigil, Sigil 2, Thy Flesh) once I've finished all the intermission screens in Doom 2, which there's only one left, you don't have to wait for long.

cool but why is the icon of sin located so far away from the living end?

 

it looks weird that doomguy would take such a long detour rather than going west immediately after barrels of fun

Move 23 to where 30 is, then 24 to 23, 26 to 24, 27 to 26, 28 to 27, and 30 to 28. And remove the stairs below 28, to make it look like you have to go through 29 to go there.

are you gonna add a tiny icon of sin to the intermap too or
also why is the liquid lava when IIRC the liquid in the IoS arena was more like a sorta dirty water liquid... could use having the nukefalls around it too, generally having it appear more like a temple surrounding the ios arena would be cool, since there are also marblefaces for the player to stand on and also those like pipewalls too
quick edit: actually a "tiny" icon of sin wouldn't make sense either, as in-game text says his trashing limbs destroyed miles of Hell's surface after his death, if anything, he should be HUGE... idk how you could tackle that, however..., if you don't mind I can "cook" something real quick maybe

yeah the icon progressively gets revelead on each beaten map, like in E2 from the original doom, I didn't want it to be that big, it's like the same case with the tower of babel

That's a cool effect; though since the level is in a completely closed area there's no strong reason to have its inside visible on the world map.

WOAH this is awesome! the only problem i think is the fact the Icon of Sins' head is grafted onto the wall in an enclosed space, with no visible body in the battle. Even though the text screen mentions one... But i would still so love this as an unofficial alt of DevilMyEyes version of the intermission map.

Perhaps the head could still be on a wall but the face steadily comes into view over time and then by Map30 the Icon of Sin is fully shown.
