I would like to suggest that you check out the project below. It is for beginners in deathmatch map making and it will help you improve your deathmatch map making skills.

I think the map you posted before (Destroyed Buildings) had potential. It just needs some improvements.

 

 

 

The beginning of this video provides some good tips to help you as well.
