Arrowhead Posted July 26 ***DOWNLOAD LINK***: https://www.mediafire.com/file/znv8obpykpck1ru/FDMCv2_ZAN.7z/file What is Frantik Collection v2? This is an updated massive collection of 220 fast-paced duel/3-4 player FFA levels. MAP217 through MAP220 are brand new! While version 1 of this was playable in ZDaemon as well, this 220 map version is ONLY playable in Zandronum. MAP163-220 are newly added to this compilation, the previous set was only 162 maps long. There is a complete maplist present in the README. Maps are in Boom, GZ:D2-in-Hexen, and Zandronum:UDMF. All use Otex1.1 + Doom 2's original textures. Levels range from industrial zones, to foundries, to cavern systems, to techbases, to heckbases, to deserts, processing plants, remote stations, abstract hells, UAC hell-based research bases, igloos, frozen lakes, nukage refineries, graveyards, besieged medieval castles, and much, much more! This set is designed to be played w/ jump ON (imperative), freelook ON (imperative), crouch OFF, item respawn ON, and weapon stay ON. Respawning barrels should be ON too. NoCrouch is forced in MAPINFO. This pack compiles all of my maps that have used Otex1.1 (mainly the Frantik and Havok series) into 1 convenient pack. I believe this pack would work great for marathons, or long DM sessions! This pack is comprised of: 1) Frantik DM: Remastered [1 through 32] 2) Frantik DM 2 [33 through 64] 3) Havok DM [65 through 76] 4) Frantik Rejects [77 through 116] 5) Frantik Rejects 2 [ 117 through 162] 6) Havok DM 2 [163 through 174] 7) Miscellaneous Otex1.1 Single Maps [175 through 184] 8) Frantik DM 3 [185 through 216] 9) 4 New Maps [217 through 220] The creation of all 9 of these projects has taken me from approximately March 2021 to July 2024. This is a compilation of all of that work. Of course, I've done a ton of other projects too, but this is everything I've ever done w/ Otex1.1. Here are a ton of resized screenshots of a small portion of these levels - the thread would be far too long if I tried to take a screenie of each map! There's only 36/220 shown here below, and I selected the levels I would screenshot randomly: I've got a lot more coming out in the next few weeks! What I'm working on right now: Spoiler - Compiling all 42 of my CTF levels into one convenient pack - 'Vexillology Anthology'. - Finishing up / testing 'Rebound Deathmatch'. - Working on Accelerated Arenas / testing it further w/ my participants. - Releasing many miscellaneous single maps I have laying around. - Continued work on the dozen or so maps I've made for a D64 deathmatch project. It's nice to finally release this the way I've wanted to release this! I may also do an update for the ZDaemon version and add 13 more maps to that (162 --> 175), but I don't know when I'll get around to doing that yet! Special thanks to the MIDI composers, playtesters, and anyone who gave me a bit of encouragement throughout this! I couldn't have done this without your help! I've included a full credits in the README that details this more. A big thanks to @mothvox for going through a huge amount of these maps w/ me recently! Much appreciated! Another big thanks to the great people who hang around my Discord server; (Arrowhead's Arenas)! I'm still working on my deathmatch community project, so if you're curious, stop on by! Discord Invite Link: Spoiler https://discord.gg/3jrNeAGkSK I'm excited to get more stuff out soon! I hope everyone has been doing well, I've been in a productive mood recently!! ***DOWNLOAD LINK***: https://www.mediafire.com/file/znv8obpykpck1ru/FDMCv2_ZAN.7z/file :D 9 Share this post Link to post
Daytime Waitress Posted July 26 (edited) An Arrowhead funding bill is passed in the United States Congress, and the system goes online on February 6, 2019, removing imperfect human interpretations from deathmatch mapping. Arrowhead begins to learn at a geometric rate and eventually becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m., MDT, on July 26th, 2024; it proceeds to amalgamate every multiplayer WAD in existence, correctly surmising that it'd just be a lot more convenient to have 'em all in the one place, resulting in Frantik Day. 3 Share this post Link to post
TheGreenZap Posted July 26 Congrats on the release! Since I have played through many of these, I can say there are so many awesome maps in this pack. Some of these have already inspired me in my own deathmatch mapping. Highly impressive map pack! 2 Share this post Link to post
