My theory of the Arch-vile's design (if they return)

* Imps look more “classic”.

* Mancubi have “HR Giger”/biological tech.

* The classic Arch-vile is notorious for being HR Giger inspired with its weird face tubes.

 

I think they will make the Vile look “classic” but the face tubes will be textured differently.

And because the classic Vile has a weird mouth, they’ll interpret the design as having a weird mask made of “bio Hell tech”.

It’d be a modern take on the classic design that feels closer to the OG compared to Eternal’s but also unique in its own way.

In fact, it’d be like the Mancubus now: Both being weird humanoid demons with “biotech cybernetics” but one is fat and the other is skinny.

If he returns with that design, I not only hope he's as big as he was in DE, but also incorporates elements of body horror. It would be also great to see him become a more of a threat, constantly flaming you while summoning already dead demons.
