hi.it`s my map. idea map: you choose weapon with which you will until the end (almost).

This is actually a pretty good map! I'd advise everyone to not take the shotgun path unless you just really like grind though. Secrets deserve a second look though and certain areas have very respectable detailing!

Interesting approach where you can essentially only use one weapon for most of the map. A few comments:

 

- I took the CG as it seemed the most versatile, but you have several Barons in the map. The only starting weapon that can really take them down is the RL. If you take anything else it's incredibly tedious to kill Barons. This is something where in Doom II using Hell Knights for most of the map would work a lot better.

 

(I went back in to test with the RL and see that you can actually get a two different end fights!)

 

- If you take the Cyberdemon fight, you definitely need more PG ammo at the end as I had to CG a lot of the health off the Cyberdemon, which was not that great. Also please remove the Partial Invisibility. Having that with a Cyberdemon in reasonably close quarters as well as Lost Souls is not a help, and feels like the player is being trolled because a lot of the time you dogde into damage.

 

Having played through with two different weapons, I have to say there is plenty of ammo around. There is perhaps slightly too much, but on a map like this that's not a bad thing.

Well, for a first map this is very interesting. I'll echo LadyMistDragon's concerns with regards to secrets as I could only find one (and by accident I admit).

The "choose your weapon" gimmick reminds me of a certain level in Fragport.

 

I ran into a problem where the barrels would all pile up and not continue warping along the conveyor, unsure what is causing it.

Also, what a super catchy tune, reminds me of Undertale's Megalovania (since it shares some instruments).

 

Great stuff!

 

Edit: I forgot to mention a dangerous softlock! If you fall between Sectors 1073 and 1075 by stepping on Sector 1077, you're stuck there forever.

feels like a retro map from design and visuals 

very strange route options as at first attempt i took sg route and RL never appear after and map felt very hard but on second attempt after selecting RL route 

map gets super easy

cant found any secret,6 monsters or way to get back in first room

my second try demo prboom used popi9.zip
