Zoorado Posted April 27, 2003 This is so cool! Wonder who has seen it before? New Honda commercial: http://home.attbi.com/~bernhard36/honda-ad.html At last, departure from boring highway, tracks, and nature themes. 0 Share this post Link to post
zark Posted April 27, 2003 Yeah I've seen that, awesome commercial. Apparently it isn't CG, just took a LOT of takes to get right. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted April 27, 2003 I first saw it a while ago, must be a few minutes long (who thought that up?). Bet they took ages to get it right... 0 Share this post Link to post
Ed Posted April 27, 2003 How in the hell does the tire slow down, then pick up speed again? 0 Share this post Link to post

Disorder Posted April 27, 2003 I can't see whether it's CGI or not. But some of the cameramovements feel a little too perfect. Either way it is a hell of a lot of work. Unbelievable commercial. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted April 27, 2003 Hmm I don't think it's CGI, but I could be wrong. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zoorado Posted April 27, 2003 It is definitely not CGI rendered, not even a bit of camera trick involved. According to various news reports, this whole commercial took 606 takes to complete. Apparently if something goes off-course by even 1/16 of an inch, the chain reaction will not have the desired effect. It is a work of art, by people with passion, not by those striving for profit. 0 Share this post Link to post
Epyo Posted April 27, 2003 Now THAT's nuckin futs! Is there a name for these kindsa things cause I've seen a few before. Other than "chain reaction" I mean. 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted April 27, 2003 Hmm, I want to buy an Accord now. heh, I especially like the windshield wipers. 0 Share this post Link to post

Arioch Posted April 30, 2003 There's one bit of cheating involved, with the muffler I think. 0 Share this post Link to post

Tobester Posted April 30, 2003 I used to be able to do that with slinkys, dominos, and a sleeping cat, properly positioned. except it had nothing to do with cars. 0 Share this post Link to post
