Utuber_Robert Posted August 13 An experimental project inspired by the anthology Fears to Fathom Download Plumb to Horror: Train travel on ModDB page Good day, Doom community and just those who decided to visit this page! This is a page for my first serious mod called Plumb to Horror: Train Travel. This mod was inspired by the Fears to Fathom game series, which really inspired me to create this mod. Since I’ve been programming on GZdoom for quite a long time, I decided why not try to do something similar, but my own? I also used some sprites, textures, music, etc. of other people, but I also did a lot of my own. I will also be glad if you help promote this mod, it will help make it more popular, and will help to understand whether people are indifferent to this anthology and whether they want the stories to continue. It is also important to be very careful in this mod. Many important details can be hidden behind the usual decorations. Are you ready to find out what's happening on this train An episode can take from 30 minutes to 1 hour maximum. All information regarding the mod itself, the materials used in it, and tips necessary to complete the mod can be found in the README file. TIPS ABOUT LAUNCH: 1) You need the source port itself. It is recommended to use GZDoom, preferably starting from version g.3.7.1 legacy and higher. 2) Now you need a basic WAD file (or DTA file, IWAD file, something else like that), through the boot cell of which you will play this mod. In fact, there is nothing complicated here, you just need to either get the original WAD file of Doom 2, or download Freedoom 2 for free. 3) I hope that you placed the mod in a separate folder, it will be more convenient to launch (although you can place it in the GZDoom folder, freedom of choice is also provided here). Now you need to select a file with one click of the mouse and apply it to the GZDoom itself, then select the WAD file Doom 2 or Freedoom 2 and play! That's basically all you need to start the game. Often, the startup process itself can take only a few seconds. Have a good game! It is also recommended to run the mod exclusively through the OpenGL render; other renders, such as Doom render, etc., lead to either the mod not working correctly or even causing it to crash. You can write comments here, where you can tell about your impressions, tell about errors and bugs that you might find in the mod, I will try to correct errors as quickly as possible. I will also be glad if you leave a rating for my brainchild, since your positive comments will let me know that this anthology mod should continue to be developed. Have a good game everyone! =============================================UPDATE from 25/09/2024!================================== The new update has made changes that make the mod work more correctly in terms of the plot and technical part, some graphical inaccuracies have been fixed, some bugs have been cleaned up. NEW: Improved some aspects to better guide players in the tasks they face in this mod (especially at the end) =================================================================================================== 0 Share this post Link to post

noblonski Posted October 11 hello, after lurking these halls for 20+ years i finally created an account. i just played through the first episode. i loved it and can’t wait for more. due to some bugs (or maybe wrong settings on my end) i thought the story would go into a totally different direction. it seems like the rugs, for example in the dining car, not only tie the room together but made some guests appear to have transparent legs which made me think we’re embarking on a ghost story. the second thing is (in order to avoid spoilers) when the music changes to the hectic and suspenseful music and your goal is to get back to your quarters, i might have been a tad to fast and the music as well as the reason why you should get back to your quarters stopped and had to be retriggered. after that i could just go past and end the story. not sure if it was intended. you made a great game though and i can’t wait to see what the next episodes bring. definitely keep em coming. great concept! 0 Share this post Link to post

Welcome to this page! Yes, the mod has some let’s say “features”, because of which I call this mod “experimental”. Thank you for your comment, your reaction and that of many others makes it clear whether this business needs to be continued. 0 Share this post Link to post
BaK Posted October 24 Really nice! It's a very interesting mod and I hope there will be subsequent chapters. Needless to say, it's too short and has a few minor bugs, because it's clearly an experiment. A remake of this story wouldn't be bad, one where the characters are more developed, with more dialogue, and the main mystery is more complicated. Perhaps even a series of random events to keep each playthrough fresh. 1 Share this post Link to post
