ColanWiser Posted September 11 I have Doom Eternal, my graphics card is the 670mx nvidia, and the processor is the i7 2.4 ghz that boosts up to like 3 ghz. When I double click the doom eternal icon the game doesn't start. Do you any of you know what is going on? I want to play this one. 0 Share this post Link to post
JustAthel Posted September 15 What are your full device specs? And do any errors pop up when you try to start the game? 0 Share this post Link to post
ColanWiser Posted September 26 My specs are gtx 670mx, i7 2.4-3.2 ghz, windows 11, 8gb ram. My only clue is the id launcher says I need a newer nvidia driver but my card is not supported by the latest version. 0 Share this post Link to post

Unfortunately, I think your graphics card (possibly your CPU too, but I don't know those as well) is a bit too old to run this game, according to Bethesda's minimum specs: Quote PC Minimum Specs (1080p / 60 FPS / Low Quality Settings): 64-bit Windows 7/64-Bit Windows 10 Intel Core i5 @ 3.3 GHz or better, or AMD Ryzen 3 @ 3.1 GHz or better 8GB System RAM NVIDIA GeForce 1050Ti (4GB), GTX 1060 (3GB), GTX 1650 (4GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280 (3GB), AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB) or RX 470 (4GB) 50 GB hard drive space Edited September 27 by lizzieshinkickr : formatting 0 Share this post Link to post
Artyoman Posted September 27 It should be enough to run Doom Eternal as it supports vulkan, however it might be struggling and running at 40 fps at best judging by it being as powerful as GT 1030. But if the problem is in old drivers while there's no new drivers available then only way to run it is through bypassing driver check somehow, which is probably hard as hell 0 Share this post Link to post
ColanWiser Posted October 2 yeah the 670mx is 3gb card does vulkan, but as time passes it's not up to date in VULKAN, the pcsx2 emulator complained about it. But yeah, Doom 2016 plays fine at low resolution. Excellent games, may need to build an RTX computer. I had the best laptop on earth $2000, sold it for $400 so I could drink. Should have held on to it. In the meantime I'll enjoy the cacowards stuff on gzdoom. 0 Share this post Link to post
ARMCoder Posted Sunday at 02:47 PM I did a quick research and I can say the 670MX is very, VERY underpowered. My previous PC had a comparatively better GTX 1070 TI that could run Eternal but at the expense of using low quality / low resolution (1280x720 IIRC). Eternal is very configurable in terms of resource usage, but even the bare minimum setting demands a quite hefty PC. Just to illustrate, my current card is a RTX 4060 TI, a still modern mid-range card. I can play Eternal using ray tracing, but the frame rate stays below 100fps, and during more intense battles the performance degrades quite fast. So in practice I play with ray tracing off - the overall quality is still very good, but not maximum. 0 Share this post Link to post
