insertwackynamehere Posted May 14, 2003 Sometimes, when i try to run a PWAD, in vanilla Doom, an alert pops up saying "Application Error: [Path to Doom]: The instruction at 004301ff referenced memory at 00000000 The memory could not be read from Click Ok to terminate application." It gets really annoying, so does anyone know what it is, and how to get rid of it and play the PWAD? 0 Share this post Link to post
insertwackynamehere Posted May 14, 2003 No, right now the problem is a weapons pwad made with WinTex, and it says that it's editing in Doom2. 0 Share this post Link to post
Opulent Posted May 14, 2003 wads with poor resource lumps -- especially ones that aren't sized correctly -- will dump doom.exe. You can see if other exes like it, or try running a check on it in Deepsea or something. or try not loading resources other than map replacements. 0 Share this post Link to post
insertwackynamehere Posted May 16, 2003 It's still not working, in Vanilla Doom. What exactly are wad resource lumps, and how would I fix unsized ones? I'm a newbie, sort of, in editing, so thanks for helping me on this topic. 0 Share this post Link to post
