Heh. Look at that. He brushed like his 4 front teeth only.

Actualy, I like Tom Hall the best, but I vote Romero because he's more OT than Carmack.

uhh no, he left because id wasn't good enough for him. you'd have to be insane to think they hired sandy peterson to replace tom hall because TOM HALL WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH. i mean, compare E2M2 or E1M4 with E3M8 and E3M2.. heh

my vote's for romero of course.

Apparently Carmack is too busy coding engines and all that jazz to brush his teeth :)

I stopped reading after the BFG comment.

Too bad, the ending is the best part.

Carmack: Engine coder.

Romero: Game designer.

How can they compare?

Actually, Romero is the lead programmer for his current company and was involved with the programming of Doom as well (in fact I think he coded the level editor).

After Daikatana, I believe that I can't say anything good about Romero.
Maybe Hyperspace delivery boy, just maybe...

he also coded a bit for doom, namely some of the sector lighting effects. DoomED, id's own personal editor was also largely his work.

heh, i wonder how many people who poke fun at daikatana actually played the full game. daikatana was very inconsistent. episode3 was easily the best episode in it and i'm sure most people who actually played it would consider it quite good. it certainly wasn't the best game in the world but i thought it was far more interesting (and enjoyed it more) than quake2.

it's actually a pretty good game. it's the closest you'll find to a new keen game (considering tom hall designed it that isn't too much of a surprise)

Romero is teh hottie. So he wins. And he's cooler than Carmack (a.k.a. Agent Sugarteeth).
