Swiss_Cheeseman Posted May 21, 2003 Just to let you know, the GP32 port of Doom was updated recently to support sound and saves. At the moments its still a bit buggy, and saves dont completely work for me, but it might be my Smart Media Card (ive been having probs with it). The speed is the same, but it isn't too bad. Probably the best thing about this port is that its pretty much identicle to the PC version, better in some respects, as it has a high resolution (320x240). The author is a bit sick at the moment, so a few new features such as gamma correction (needed quite a lot) and a wad selector are unavailable. However, it is still quite playable in its current state. Overall, it completely kicks the GBA version down the stairs, with a cricket bat, several times. Oh, and get a GP32, they rock. EDIT: Oh yeah, LINKS =P... http://www.gp32x.com http://www.gp32emu.com Both of those have good information on it. http://www.gbax.com is a good place to get a gp32 from, and i think that the guy who runs the site is actual the guy working on the doom port (craigx) 0 Share this post Link to post

Swiss_Cheeseman Posted May 23, 2003 THE GP32 IS A FUCKING HANDHELD JUST LIKE GBA ONLY DEVELOPMENT TOOLS AND SOFTWARE ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE AND THE STORAGE IT USES IS FLASH MEDIA (smart media card). IT IS ALSO MUCH MORE POWERFUL THAT THE GBA. Got that? Its really not that hard to click a link mate. 0 Share this post Link to post
Swiss_Cheeseman Posted May 23, 2003 There isnt a proper website for it, however, http://www.gbax.com/ , which is run by the person who is developing the port, has a link to the latest version at the top of the page (and it now has working saves and gamma options). 0 Share this post Link to post
