m0l0t0v Posted May 22, 2003 Ok, so I should probably ask this on Quake site, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable there... So, can anyone tell me how I can extract sounds (like the machinegun firing) from Quake or Quake2. What editor should I use? Maybe someone made a pack? thanks... 0 Share this post Link to post

Ichor Posted May 22, 2003 I use Quark. It works for extracting mdls (md2s) and textures as well. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sphagne Posted May 22, 2003 Quake2 files are actually a zip file. Just rename them to .zip and use any zip program. 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted May 22, 2003 this should probably be moved over to EE or closed or both 0 Share this post Link to post

Arno Posted May 22, 2003 Qped works, but PakExplorer is better, IMO. PK3's are just ZIP files, but PAK-files aren't. EDIT: sorry, I actually meant PakScape. I got them a bit mixed up. PakScape is what I used all the time when I modded in Q2. 0 Share this post Link to post
