Political Position Test

Recommended Posts

New Prosperity Independent

However, they suggested that I would lean slightly towards the Republican Party. Uh, NO!

Hmm, Liberal Democrat. That seems to make sense. Although, I'd like to see two options added to that form so I could choose the last of these:

-Are you registered to vote: Yes, No, I wish I hadn't.
-Do you vote?: Always, most of the time, part of the time, seldom, never.

i much prefer this 10-question test. i have no opinion one way or the other on a lot of the questions on your test, because often the answers it gives are

a) too extreme either way
b) based on action one way or the other, when i would personally prefer no action
c) relative to me, not my opinions. i.e. i am not wealthy but highly capitalistic

the test lists me as a "New Prosperity Independent" whatever the hell that is. when i looked it up it really doesn't fit me. i'm a libertarian on my own test.

Although I'm not an American, I was kinda interested where I fit in the American political views. I'm a liberal democrat according to that test.
I wonder how many people end up in the center and if a center-orientated party could become succesfull in the USA. Two parties always seemed a bit of a narrow choice to me.

According to sargebaldy's link, I'm right-conservative.

Baldy's test also places me as a Left-Liberal.

Maybe they should simply name it european. :P

Heh, the Libertarian Party website claimed I'm a libertarian. Surprising, or what?

Actually, I'm fairly right-wing in economic issues, but strongly in favour of personal freedoms (though regard this as subordinate to security issues), which tends to screw up my results in these tests. One of them put me right next to Charles Kennedy (ugh!) on a British political map.

On the other test: New Prosperity Independent.

AndrewB's test puts me at "Liberal Democrat". Sounds about right.

sarge's test calls me a "Centrist", but outs me right at the intersection of Centrist, Left Liberal, and Libertarian, like so. You'll pardon me if I don't put much faith in a quiz with only ten questions.

SargeBaldy's quiz puts me in Left-Liberal.

That test is inferior to the one I linked to.

All you Liberal Democrats need to go and sign up here. :)

Seriously, I thought the test AndrewB linked to had far too many questions where it basically asked for a Yes/No answer where a lot of people would want to answer "it depends", and so were forced to agree with a statement (one or the other) that they didn't really agree with at all.

heh, how is it "inferior"? most of the questions on your test i'd have rather left unanswered, and my final result didn't match my philosophy. in fact, having read all the categories listed on your link, i disagree with all of them.

exactly what i mean.

But the test clearly stated that you only needed to select the option that you leaned toward, even if you didn't very well agree with it. If you did agree with it, you'd click on the checkbox.

yes, but what about when you disagree completely with both of the options?

Then your best bet is to blow a shotgun shell up your larnyx.

I'm a damn dirty Liberal Democrat.

I think I took Baldy's test once and I was in the fucking corner of the diagram, in the left-liberal quadrant.

EDIT: Okay, I took it again, and was 3 spaces away from the economic edge, and all the way on the personal edge. I think last time it was only 2 spaces.

It put me as a liberal democrat, which is far too right of where i really stand XD

I prefer politcalcompass.org, which is more international (though made in britian, so lots of the comparison people are british), on that im something like -8 economic and -9 social

Liberal democrat / Left-liberal. First test was a little weird because it assumes that whoever takes it is American. We had a federal election in Belgium last week and I voted for the Socialist Party, the second largest party we have.

In most European countries we have about five or six important political parties - usually Liberals, Democrats, Socialists, and a few leftovers from fascism and communism. The U.S. system where there are only two "real" parties always struck me as odd.

Liberal democrat according to that test. On politicalcompass, I end up somewhere in the bottom left corner. Oh, and the US's political system is not even worthy of the shit most of the politicians represent.

AndrewB's test says:
Which comes closer to your views ...

Other countries generally treat the United States about as fairly as we treat them.
OR
Other countries often take unfair advantage of the United States.

Where the heck is the 'Other countries feel the United States often takes unfair advantage of them' option?

Which comes closer to your views ...

As Americans, we can always find ways to solve our problems and get what we want.
OR
This country can't solve many of its important problems.

How about 'This country refuses to acknowledge let alone solve many of its important problems'?

Your answers indicate that you are in the Staunch Conservative category:

Well how about that for wrong.

I'm dissatisfied with the state of the world. I don't care as to what someone's sexuality is. I have a distaste for the general liberal agenda (or manifesto) which remove any and all things interesting from schools, work-places, ect.. and, of course leave them bleached, tasteless and boring. I believe in family values, which are being replaced by social standards, this troubles me, see above. I am also a member of the American Communist Party, which we joined as a joke, because that's exactly what it is.

You know it's true, give it up.

Politically, I'd describe myself as a fucking bastard. I want to rule the world myself, play fps games all day and shaft beautiful women whilst eating pizza. I then want to rape anyone who's ever pissed me off with a 34 inch rusty nail until they slowly die of either blood loss or septacemia.

So yeah, right-conservative too.
