If were going to have a thread about settings for more speed, how about one for options/console commands to max out quality.

Heh, ok :)

- gl_vid_bitdepth 32 (32 bit depthbuffer/framebuffer)
- gl_vid_stencilbits 8 (use stencil buffer for skyboxes)
- gl_texture_format GL_RGBA8 (32 bit textures)
- gl_texture_mode GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR (trilinear mipmapping)
- gl_texture_anisotropic 1 (use anisotropic texture filtering)
- gl_texture_anisotropy_degree 2 (zdoomgl only supports up to 2 right now)
- gl_texture_usehires 1 (use hires textures)
- gl_line_smooth 1 (antialias lines in automap/wireframe mode/etc)
- gl_mirror_recursions 10 (number of recursions for facing mirrors)
- gl_mirror_envmap 1 (environment map mirrors)
- gl_blend_animations 1 (blend flat animations)

Anything else people can think of?

Only 2? Why? 8 (max. on my GF3) looks good but 2 I normally don't notice at all!

Indeed. I used to have it set to 2, but now I switched it to 8 (got a GF3 too) and it looks a lot better.

Break your video card in half and attempt to run the newest ZDoomGL in GL mode.

Hmm, for the next version maybe I'll add a check for the maximum anisotropy degree. I just had it clamped at 2 since that's what my GF2 supports :)
