Ghostpilot Posted June 1, 2003 For some time ago there was news on DooMworld about a small project with western-styled maps. I can't remember the name of the project or the one who did it. But maybe some of you guys can remember. I really looked forward to those western-maps. EDIT------------------------------------------- Instead of starting just another spacewasting thread I might aswell reuse this one... This was before the Warcraft 3 era began. Does anyone of you remember the very promising Star Wars TC for Warcraft II? This was somewhere around 1999 or 2000 I think. They abandoned the project, but one person started working on it again. I think he called himself Fronzel or finzel or something like that. It was nearly finished when it disapeared completely from the internet. Not a single trace of the TC or it's creators. It was not only this TC, it was the whole Warcraft II community that disappeared. The www.warclan.com page disappeared and was replaced with a pornsite. Then all info regarding War2 editing also vanished. How can a whole community just vanish? Any info at all regarding the SW-War2-TC would be good. 0 Share this post Link to post

Last think I heard about him was that he lost interest in Doom (I think Ebola or Fredrik said it, not sure though). A real shame, it was one of the best things I've played for Doom. 0 Share this post Link to post

Heh 2 - If you're telling us that the site is a link to a porn site, it would not be a good idea to provide us with that link. 3 - Try here 0 Share this post Link to post

And yeah, it's really a shame - that TC rocked (I even made some textures and music for it). 0 Share this post Link to post

That one seems to be the only trace of the once rather big Warcraft2 community. The page I was talking about was the newer SW-TC page by that Fronzel guy. But his (and ALL the other war2 pages) page was hosted by the ill-fated warclan.com server. And none seem to know/care about it. 0 Share this post Link to post

NiGHTMARE Posted June 1, 2003 There's the Boothill wads too. I'm not sure how many of them there were, afaik there were at least two. 0 Share this post Link to post

I have tried the "Fistful of DooM". It's really fun. It remember me of the good old game "Outlaws" 0 Share this post Link to post

Those was the single most beautiful maps I have ever seen, exept the "Mordreth" maps (maybe misspelled). Is there some other insanely detailed western or wasteland themed maps out there? 0 Share this post Link to post
