boot disks and XP

Im trying to use a boot disk to play dos games but I got this problem.

whenever I boot via the disk im stuck on A:, and I cant go anywhere else.

how do I fix this. I wanna play tyrian2k again!

DOS can only read FAT filesystems. If you're using XP your hard disk is probably an NTFS filesystem. Unless you reinstall XP and use FAT instead, you're probably screwed.

I've heard of some software that can make DOS read NTFS (specifically made for boot disks). I dont remember what it's called though. But there's a least some hope. GO SEARCH! :P

It's called (gasp) ntfsdos. The free version only supports reading from NTFS partitions, meaning you can't write any data to them.

Actually, I have the Boot disk that reads NTFS. I forget where I got it, but I can send you the setup file if you give me your AIM handle or email address
