Zombie Keeper Posted July 7, 2003 I just installed the Doom Collection and it runs fine with one exception; there's no mouse support. Does anyonw know if there's a fix to this? Playing with the keyboard is agonizing to say the least. FYI - I'm running XP and the mouse option under "Confiuration" is enabled. 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted July 7, 2003 You'll want one of the Windows-based source ports if you have to use XP. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zombie Keeper Posted July 7, 2003 Will Doom3D 1.16 work? There are so many to choose from. I have no idea where to start. 0 Share this post Link to post
Volte Posted July 7, 2003 Try ZDoom or Legacy. They seem to be the standards. 0 Share this post Link to post
SmellyOgre Posted July 7, 2003 Zdoom will allow mouse support on windows XP, so will Legacy i think. 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted July 7, 2003 Use zdoom. Legacy does not specifically support XP yet. 0 Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted July 7, 2003 Legacy also doesn't support not sucking. 0 Share this post Link to post
insertwackynamehere Posted July 7, 2003 Why does every one hate Legacy so much? I've never had a problem with it, even on XP. I think it's equal to everything else. Doomsday(jDoom) is still my favorite, though ;-) 0 Share this post Link to post

If you want a game that is as close to the original as possible, pick prBoom. All the goodies with none of the gimmicks that DOOM doesn't have (i.e., mouselook, jump etc). Or better yet, dual boot. 0 Share this post Link to post
