Yeah I've always wondered about all this viagra stuff online. I mean, a large majority of the people online (I saw a viagra ad on sourceforge today, I don't see ANY non-nerdy person going there) are nerds who'll never have sex and who will never have a need for viagra.

Sometimes on sites that have nothing to do with Doom, Doomworld avatars and images will appear in ad spaces, all skewed to fit the box. I think it has to do with cookies, or something.

BTW, my worst fear is that I, who has been playing and enjoying Doom for a while, and made fun of, for it, is going to suddenly be overshadowed by all the popular kids, who don't have an ounce of computer skills in them, yet play Doom III, "because it's cool" and when I tell them I played before it was popular among them they'll just laugh and beat me up, like they always do.


EDIT: I know this sounds like the Columbine set-up, but don't worry. The difference between me and the Columbine killers, is that I'd never choose to go on a killing spree, unlike them, and in the end it all comes down to choice. They chose one path, and I chose mine. And I'll never choose their path, no matter what.

I rad a study about 6 months ago that said kids who play violent video games are LESS likely to commit violent crimes. Makes sense, after a few hours of Excessive Quake 3 I wouldn't have the energy to kick a puppy.
