id's deathmatch levels?

I've heard rumors of an official deathmatch level pack made by id Software themselves! Does such a thing really excist?

If so where can I get it?

no, but american mcgee did release a single dm map. i think it's rather good myself.

I think that DeathMatch map was also in heretic, too.

yeah, it's e6m3, if you have the expansion or whatever.

It was in the original version (not Shadow of the Serpent Riders). Warp to E4M1 and it should be there. However, the other two maps aren't there.

ah, i see. they just pushed it back to e6m3 for the expansion?

oh, and speaking of ichor and heretic, i just finished ichor the other day. it was pretty good, especially in the middle. it looked like kind of a n00b effort though, there were rather a lot of misalignments. and i can't say i liked the first or last maps too much =P on the whole it was fun though.

That's because I still didn't have that much experience when I made that map. Back then, I really didn't care about texture alignment, and I concentrated more on gameplay, atmosphere, and experimenting with new ideas (especially the later maps).

yeah, it was definitely fun, but i just noticed it's over 5 years old so i should probably check out one of your recent maps :)
