shotgun cocking sound not working?

anyone have any ideas as to why it doesnt work?

If you're talking about DSSGCOCK, it's not played as part of the shotgun as a weapon, it is actually played on Doom's intermission screen when you press a key and it shows the "you are here" thing. The cocking sound that you hear when you fire the shotgun is actually part of the shotgun firing sound (dsshotgn).
