Naked Snake Posted August 26, 2003 BAD RETARDED IMAGE BAD Looks pretty accurate. Nice. In the first shot, it looks like he has a glowing eye! 0 Share this post Link to post
dsm Posted August 26, 2003 Lol that thing rocks! "Now turn that camera off before I throw this bust of Fat Zombie at it!" :-P 0 Share this post Link to post
Shapeless Posted August 26, 2003 That's 'cause they're made from pearls I snagged from a cheap necklace I found in a trash bin at home. :p On a related note, how do you think the base should be decorated? I was thinking either pipes/cables or some sort of Gigerish ribbing. 0 Share this post Link to post

Tobester Posted August 26, 2003 is it just me or does he kinda look like this guy? Giger it up. It would rock. 0 Share this post Link to post
Rellik Posted August 27, 2003 Nice job! Postlethwaite and Stephen Baldwin were fantastic in CrimeTime. Great hard to find movie and probably the only non peice of crap movie a baldwin has ever done. [/highjack] 0 Share this post Link to post
DaJuice Posted August 27, 2003 Are you forgetting The Usual Suspects? Stephen Baldwin was in that and so was that Postlethwaite guy. Awesome bust, looks just like it. 0 Share this post Link to post
BlueSonnet Posted August 27, 2003 Better than my cybie sculpture anyway. God job. 0 Share this post Link to post

Python_Junkie Posted August 29, 2003 I'm speechless...it's as though you magically extraced a picture of the fat zombie from your computer screen and gave it real substance! 0 Share this post Link to post

Shapeless Posted August 30, 2003 I'v decided to keep the base of the bust very simple, so that it does not compete with the sculpture. I will paint it either black or silver. There's also a barron of hell from the original doom, in the works. It stands roughly 7" tall, and I will be giving it away near the begining of October, as a prize in a sculpture contset I will host. it's looking pretty sweet and will have transparent flaming hands. and there's also plans for a diarama sculpture, based off the doom 2 box art sceane of doom guy v.s the cyberdemon. And another project inspired by the new line of star wars unleased figures. expect finished photos of the fat zombie bust and barron sculpt near the end of next mounth. 0 Share this post Link to post
DaJuice Posted August 30, 2003 That's fucking awesome news! I want the baron of hell!! Will we be able to enter 3d models into the sculpure contest or only physical models? 0 Share this post Link to post
EVIL Posted September 1, 2003 yo shapeless.. could you post a sharper image? 0 Share this post Link to post
m0l0t0v Posted September 2, 2003 Whoow... imagine my mother's reaction if she were to find that under my bed! I was thinking either pipes/cables or some sort of Gigerish ribbing. It looks very realistic so why not make it look like a 'real' decapitaded head. Add some hanging skin and blood-vessels. That would be soooo cool! 0 Share this post Link to post
Shapeless Posted September 7, 2003 Since I don't think I'll get alot of sculptures coming in I will allow 3d rendered images. my mom's digi cam has no macro for sharper images.this isn't official but the the rules will be the following... 1) only 3d models (physical or computer renderd) 2) at least 5 entries or I cancel the contest 3) must be doom related. 4) you can enter as many entries as you like, but only one will be valid. I don't want to make any official announcments until I finish it and provide unblurry pictures of the prize. And if someone can provide a nice big picture of the doom box cover art,it will be greatly appreaciated cause m modeling it after those seen on the box rather then the ingame version. his legs won't be backwords they are more like the cyberdemon as you see him on the box art.he will have transparent flames on his hands and the proportions are more like a human being the the broader/wider ingame barrons. but should I give him ears or no ears? the one on the box has ears, but the one ingame does not. 0 Share this post Link to post
DaJuice Posted September 8, 2003 Give em ears I say, and here you go... ...http://dajuice.t35.com:8000/pics/Ultidoom.jpg The original (don't remember who scanned it) is much bigger, uncropped and isn't compressed very much, but I'm having a hard time getting larger sized files onto this ftp. If you need reference for the legs, maybe these will come in handy... http://dajuice.t35.com:8000/pics/boh1.jpg http://dajuice.t35.com:8000/pics/boh3.jpg 0 Share this post Link to post
Scabbed Angel Posted September 8, 2003 Damn that's an awesome sculpt. It looks exactly like it! Do the new Hellknight!!! Is that Super Sculpey you're using? I'm a fan of that and Casteline. More pics! 0 Share this post Link to post
Shapeless Posted September 22, 2003 It's made out of sculpey, but the ears are super sculpey which is peachy coloured. Dejusice can you post links that work? I'm sure they didi before but I havent had internet for awhile and have been in the dark. 0 Share this post Link to post
DaJuice Posted September 23, 2003 That fucker keeps deleting my stuff. Some service... Anyways, here's another pic of the cover that I found, not as big but decent size. Tell me if you need a bigger one. http://www.geocities.com/stehrani3d/gallery/doom.jpg And pics of my baron model, if you need some ref for the legs. http://www.geocities.com/stehrani3d/gallery/baron1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/stehrani3d/gallery/baron3.jpg 0 Share this post Link to post

DaJuice Posted September 23, 2003 Ohh, I'll have to check it out, thx Silver. And wtf, I uploaded the wrong pics. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shapeless Posted September 24, 2003 There's alot of things I could do like a pink demon ripping through pipes, pink demon hanging over the fat zombie on a bathroom tiled base, Hell knight bust/ full sized figure ect ect... but I say if your going to do em, your going to do them right. And that means multiple angle shots of a spacific charater taken from the game. the shots of the new Hell Knight don't show me how he looks from the sides, back or top down. I could start a Hell Knight bust if I wanted to. but in the near future people would notice the parts I had to make up with my head, due to the fact I was only working with a frontal shot. Although I technically do have sufficiant shots to start sculpting the pink demon, I would have to BUILD it's robotic hind legs. Which poses alot of questions I'm currently seeking. If anyone has any idea's as to how I can go aroung these obstacles feel free to E-Mail me ;) Shapeless77@hotmail.com 0 Share this post Link to post
Fletcher` Posted September 24, 2003 Here's an idea, make it up and have fun. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Scabbed Angel Posted September 27, 2003 Did you ever finish the zombie?! 0 Share this post Link to post
Shapeless Posted September 27, 2003 Nope but I'm close to finishing it Id say about about 85% done. And this week I buy a base for it. I doesn't take me soo long to create a bust but I've been short of tools and materials not to mention how busy I've been lately. And for more good news I'm going to start working for an orthodontist in the following weeks so He'll instruct me on how to sculpt anatomicaly correct teeth using awesome materials for slightly translucent teeth and realistic gumms. 0 Share this post Link to post
