XDelusion Posted October 16, 2003 I'm having one of the brain fart deals again. What is it that I need to do again to prepare an outdoor area? You draw a square or what ever, then you draw another square around it counter clock wise or something right? I can't seem to remember. 0 Share this post Link to post
netnomad312 Posted October 16, 2003 Are you talking about a sky? You need the actual outdoor sector you'll be walking in, a sector around it with both flats F_SKY1, and another one around that with the same flats, but with a ceiling height the same as its floor. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted October 16, 2003 Build a sector, make sure that the ceiling height is the same as the floor height and both are using F_SKY1, then build another sector inside (with no upper textures). This inner sector is the actual outdoor area. 0 Share this post Link to post

XDelusion Posted October 18, 2003 Hmm the map seems to take 5 years to load now. 0 Share this post Link to post
Torn Posted October 20, 2003 A good advice: Read a doom mapping tutorial. 0 Share this post Link to post
XDelusion Posted October 25, 2003 I got it... ...and no I just needed a simple reminder, not advice to hunt down a reminder, that's too much work which is why I asked. Make sence? 0 Share this post Link to post
Hirogen2 Posted October 25, 2003 You might also want to use ZDoom's 9:Line_Horizon() feature. I use it in an partially-outdoor map with a building who is set in an endless-grass landscape. 0 Share this post Link to post
XDelusion Posted October 26, 2003 It's for Legacy atm. Found another way also so I'm set! :) 0 Share this post Link to post
