I remember those. In the demo I have it's impossible to shake them off the screen for some reason. The screen just goes 90% black and you're screwed.

Even in the full version it's impossible. Every time one of those gets to me, I don't waste any time and just reload an old game.

Someone told me it's possible to shake them off by hitting some button really fast (either shoot or use, I can't remember), but it never worked for me.
