DooMBoy Posted November 9, 2003 Just out of curiosity. Mine's about a 7. 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted November 9, 2003 I guess it kind of depends. I can get deep like Rammstein, but also high like the lady from Aqua. I'm generally at about a 6. 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted November 9, 2003 well since it's a poll on deepness and not on highness, i should think 1 is highest. 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted November 9, 2003 0 is the highest level of deepness? Anyway, I'm definitely a 5. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted November 9, 2003 1 - Alvin and the Chipmunks 10 - Low C on a tuba Or is it reversed? 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted November 9, 2003 yeah ichor came up with a simpler method of explanation :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted November 9, 2003 In that case, normally, I'm around a 6 or so, but I can get it down to the 8 or 9 range if I try hard enough. 0 Share this post Link to post
Little Faith Posted November 9, 2003 That depends: Ordinary talking voice: 6-7'ish. Singing voice: 3-5. 0 Share this post Link to post
Darkhaven3 Posted November 9, 2003 At any instance I'm about 7. Go to Shadowrunner's website under ToD and goto the staff page. 0 Share this post Link to post

DooMBoy Posted November 9, 2003 OK, just to clear a couple things up: 1 is the highest you can go, 10 is the lowest you can go. 0 Share this post Link to post

Job Posted November 9, 2003 I'd say I'm about 7-8, but I can make it go down another 1 or 2 levels if I try. 0 Share this post Link to post
Psyonisis Posted November 9, 2003 Well, I can scream like a little girl, or go as low as a tenor. I dunno. 0 Share this post Link to post
sirjuddington Posted November 10, 2003 I'm going 8, because I don't really think my voice is that deep, but it's deeper than anyone I know :P 0 Share this post Link to post
alexz721 Posted November 10, 2003 My talking voice ranges between 5 and 8 depending on how loud I'm talking or how excited I am. Singing (on a good day), I can have a range of slightly more than 2 octaves, so from a high/middle bass to a low/middle tenor, which I guess would be between 3 or 4 and 7 or 8? I don't know. 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted November 10, 2003 I'm taking 10 as the deepest, so I vote 8. Quite deep. 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted November 10, 2003 I like the fact that 5, 6, 7, and 8 have 5, 6, 7, and 8 votes respectively. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted November 10, 2003 Heh. I need to get me one of those mics...a 77 (or is it 78). They are the cheapest professional mics around and they are good for vocals. I've never actualy heard my own voice recorded before. At least not since I was in 8th grade. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted November 11, 2003 Um...all microphones are mono mics. If you mean stero miking, well yeah, it produces a better sound. But that isnt a very widely used technique for vocals. Also, the good mics for stereo miking cost over $1000, maybe as low as $600 if you want cheap ones. For an ametur studio like I am going to make, the $80 dynamic mic is a good purchace because mainly I'm a poor bastard. 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted November 11, 2003 the_Danarchist said:Um...all microphones are mono mics. That's like saying all speakers are mono speakers. Well, yes, all individual speakers produce a mono output. When you space two speakers apart and put different waveforms through them, then you get stereo. Same with microphones. Obviously a "stereo microphone" consists of two mono microphones that (hopefully) are isolated and positioned as to produce a desirable effect. Really, very few modern recording studios use mono microphone systems. 0 Share this post Link to post
