Ultraviolet Posted November 29, 2003 How many of you find that tryptophane, the chemical in turkey that supposedly makes one drowsy, actually has an effect on you? 0 Share this post Link to post
Janderson Posted November 29, 2003 I drink lots of Coke when I eat, so I think the caffine counters it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Disorder Posted November 29, 2003 I like chicken. Does chicken have Tryptophane? 0 Share this post Link to post
DaJuice Posted November 29, 2003 It's hard to tell. If you're drwosy it could just be from eating all that food on the table, not neccessarily the tryptophan:/ 0 Share this post Link to post

Erik Posted November 30, 2003 Eating a lot of anything heavy served with gravy makes me drowsy. Most likely because of the extra resources needed to digest it and the wine that is usually consumed simultanously. Tryptophane is an aromatic amino acid btw, one of the building blocks of your body (and the turkey's). 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted November 30, 2003 I caught a cold the day after Thanksgiving. Does that count? 0 Share this post Link to post

Tyockell Posted November 30, 2003 I think its just the fact that alot of people tend to gorge them selves when they have a turkey dinner and the likes, It takes alot of energy to digest food especialy meat so thus some people get sleepy. 0 Share this post Link to post

Though I've never really tested it. Hey, if a turkey bites itself for some reason, lets say to bite its nails and swallows it, does that mean it will become sleepy? 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted December 1, 2003 I just had three turkey sandwiches and I'm n... ...huhwhat? Oh yeah, I'm not asleep yet. 0 Share this post Link to post

Sharessa Posted December 1, 2003 Never heard of In Flames. I still want to get that one 'For the Masses' album though. Should have gotten that instead of the Singles 86-98 album. But that was back when I hardly knew a thing about them...heh. 0 Share this post Link to post
