Mogul Posted December 10, 2003 (A little off-topic) I don't know who remixed it, but I CAN say that it's the most faithful to PC among the console versions, as far as music goes. I suppose Jaguar or PSX versions are more faithful in some other regards. 0 Share this post Link to post

Rats, I can't find my friggin SNES Doom manual, otherwise I'd try to look that up in the credits page. You might want to check out Elbryan's site, and drop him a note. http://www.doom2.net/~elbryan/index.html mje said:I suppose Jaguar or PSX versions are more faithful in some other regards. Jaguar Doom only has 2 tracks in the cart, and no music during gameplay. PSX Doom has excellent mood music (IMHO :), but it's nothing like the PC music. 0 Share this post Link to post

I agree about the music in the PSX version of Doom, great and original, so was the music on the first 13 levels of the PSX version of Final Doom. 0 Share this post Link to post

boris Posted December 16, 2003 Doesn't the PSX version have audio tracks on the CD? 0 Share this post Link to post

As I recall (it's been years), only a few of the tracks are accessible via something like a CD player. You have to get the rest another way. (In this day and age, Doom Depot. ;-) 0 Share this post Link to post

Yes, I know. I have both of them. I was talking about other things, like graphics and levels and stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post

Heh, actually the SNES levels are the best major-console copies (layout wise) of the original PC Doom 1 maps. Too bad it wasn't a better game in other ways... 0 Share this post Link to post
