DoomDiz Posted December 22, 2003 I noticed that Zdoom supports a variable sized bridge thing (9990). Unfortunenetly, DoomBuilder will not give me the Arguments or the Z-Value spaces that I need to set up the object. The only way I've gotten those parameters was when I opened the level up in Hexen mode. But then Zdoom fails to read the player start and crashes... HHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!! 0 Share this post Link to post
zark Posted December 22, 2003 Make sure you have set the player start's game mode settings. Chances are you haven't ticked the "single player" box to make sure it appears in single player. 0 Share this post Link to post
DoomDiz Posted December 22, 2003 Nope, everything checks out..... I wonder if there is a way to put the z-value into the decorate lump i made for my OWN bridge things..... That would solve all of my problems. Anyone know how to put that in? 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted December 23, 2003 Doom format maps don't have a z-position, that's why you can't set it. The z-position was introduced in Hexen, so your WAD needs to be in Hexen format if you want to use it. When "Zdoom fails to read the player start and crashes" you must be doing something wrong. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gherkin Posted December 23, 2003 In Doom Builder, you must make your map with the configuration "ZDoom (Doom in Hexen format)". Then you get the real stuff that ZDoom supports. 0 Share this post Link to post
