EarthQuake Posted December 27, 2003 Damnit, c'mon, I'm bored. Let's hear some suggestions, something outrageous like a 1 sector limit or something. 0 Share this post Link to post

Draconio Posted December 28, 2003 Hmmm, well here's my idea for one: Using a maximum of 25 monsters, make a map that's real hard (not impossible) 0 Share this post Link to post

The Ultimate DooMer Posted December 29, 2003 Where'd all the contests go? They just....died. 0 Share this post Link to post
cycloid Posted December 29, 2003 how about a k limit? like 128k. not as clearly restrictive as a 10sector or a 25 monster map but clearly the winning map has got to cram a lot of gameplay into that filesize, e.g. bndaly8.wad "retribution" is 122k and features a good mix of areas and set pieces. clearly though, like a speedmapping competition it'd have to use a pre-set template or theme to stop existing wads from being entered 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted December 29, 2003 Or maybe a DeePsea shareware contest - build a map with it... (and the prize is a non-warezed copy of the registered version, lol) 0 Share this post Link to post
Skunkboy Kyle Posted December 29, 2003 I'd like to see a contest that is based on realisim. How real can you make a Doom map look? Cyb would obviously win but I'd like to see some people try it. 0 Share this post Link to post
