how about a k limit? like 128k. not as clearly restrictive as a 10sector or a 25 monster map but clearly the winning map has got to cram a lot of gameplay into that filesize, e.g. bndaly8.wad "retribution" is 122k and features a good mix of areas and set pieces. clearly though, like a speedmapping competition it'd have to use a pre-set template or theme to stop existing wads from being entered

Or maybe a DeePsea shareware contest - build a map with it...

(and the prize is a non-warezed copy of the registered version, lol)

I'd like to see a contest that is based on realisim. How real can you make a Doom map look? Cyb would obviously win but I'd like to see some people try it.
